Remember how i deleted all of my data? Well i’ve recovered some it. And right when i thought my biggest loss would be my stories, i realised i have them in my usb but: *looks in usb, nothing!* So what i did, i got DiskDigger to dig in my usb for my stories, and viola! it found the deleted files. Now the problem is, when i restored the deleted files, they appeared with the extension .wps, and when i opened them in word, they look like this:

So my question is, CAN YOU GUYS HELP ME CONVERT THIS TO READABLE TEXT AND SAVE MY STORIES???? PLEEEASSSEEE!!! I’ll do anything (the person who suggests a method that works will get a follow from me). Answers enabled.

Now, when you install and run DiskDigger, there are 2 options (and this is where i screwed up); 1) regular dig, default, that looks for files and file names and etc.; 2) deeper dig, that looks for every freakin’ trace of a file it can find. I thought use 2, and next>>>next -ed, and hotdamn, did this thing dig! It found files in my D: drive i hadn’t even downloaded!

GOOD NEWS:

My photos are back! all in one happy piece, each folder perfect! & i’ve got even more unrecognizable photos which i’m deleting.

BAD NEWS:

I feel if i had stuck to the default option, my stories and music collection would’ve come back in one place. But i had to be a smartalec, and i’m paying the price. Though DiskDigger has found the files, its found traces and whatnot, not the actual files, so all the mp3 and word files are blank :S And i can’t go back and use the previous option because now there are no deleted files to be found, so i must pay the price. Luckily, i’ve got some saved stuff on a usb; the last time i saved on that usb was in june, so obviously some 80 odd files are missing, but luckily, those 80 odd files were mostly album downloads, so i can redownload them and my music collection will be back to normal in some state or form. As for my stories, i hadn’t been writing an awful lot, and hadn’t come up with alot of new stuff, so the old stories will suffice.

NOW WHAT:

Keep the system restore on; delete the other system recovery programs and keep DiskDigger; update my usb; clear out my lappie; get back to normal as soon as possible.

I was going through my music folder when i saw a link to my user folder and all the other folders in it, and i thought  hey, i don’t need this, i’ll delete it. BAD MOVE. I ended up deleting all my data from my D: drive (i keep my users folder there), and system restore won’t work cause it was never on for D: drive, and the recylce bin has only 2 of my folders.

I’m downloading a free recovery program, i hope it works :| I have portraits to draw, photos to upload, and a computer to restart because Comodo Time Machine says so.

So a few days ago i was being smart and compressed the B: drive on my computer, and then i shut it down. Then when i try to reopen it, it doesn’t work, and so my dad had to get my Windows 7 reloaded. Luckily, i’d moved all my data on the D: drive, so its still there (MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) but…idk, this w7 is misbehaving >___<

For one thing, the speakers aren’t working like they used to..if you put them on full volume, the music sounds like bad quality, even though all the settings are as they were before >_____< :( I mean like wtf man! now i can’t even listen to music (argghhhh!!!).

And then the computer isn’t deleting the Users folder in the C: drive for some odd reason, even though it did it the last time :S. So annoying man. And on top of that, its 2 of my friends birthdays today, and i have to either be quick in making their presents, or make an excuse :S
